the creation of the workshop

There are paths that emerge without ever having been traced. My story with ceramics is one of them.

While I was completing my Master's in Art History, immersed in the intricacies of 19th-century sculpture, and simultaneously managing my role as a store manager, an unexpected upheaval changed the course of things: the expectation of my second daughter. As my work became increasingly demanding, the doctors asked me to stop. But remaining inactive? Unthinkable.

So, on a whim, I signed up for the local pottery workshop. And from the very first session, it was clear what I wanted. Under my fingers, the clay came to life, and with it, a passion I hadn't suspected. Very quickly, I brought a block of clay home, and ideas began to blossom: tealight holders, pumpkins... but above all, mushrooms. Inspired by Deyrolles' pharmaceutical models, now prized pieces in cabinets of curiosities, I wanted to breathe new life into them, somewhere between science and wonder.

Since then, ceramics has become much more than just a hobby: it's a language, a way of telling stories. Each piece I create carries within it a little of my love for the past, for nature, and for the imagination. My studio was born this way, between chance and evidence, between heritage and creation. And even today, it continues to evolve according to my inspirations.
